Spring air in the Palladian Basilica, with the early opening of the terrace, on Wednesday, which coincided with the first extended opening until 10 p.m. of the monument and the exhibition "Pop/Beat, Italy 1960-1979. Free to Dream," as part of the historic center revitalization program.

The exhibitions
The exhibition, which from its opening on March 2 to Sunday 17, has reached 1,809 visitors, will also be enriched with the exhibition in Domus comestabilis of 10 front pages in maxi version from Il Giornale di Vicenza from the Sixties and Seventies. A tribute to events that have marked the decades recounted by the exhibition and the history of Italy; events ranging from the Vajont disaster to the election of Pope Wojtyla, passing through the first man on the moon. The opening will not be a one-time event. The terrace, as part of the "It's Spring" initiative launched by the municipal administration, will be open every Wednesday until May 1 and on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) throughout the summer, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the day and in the evening with bar service. During daytime hours, access will be possible by purchasing a ticket for the monument or the "Pop/Beat" exhibition, while evening access to the terrace with bar service will cost one euro for residents of Vicenza and province, and two euros for other visitors. A subscription for 10 euros will be available for evening terrace access for the entire season.

The terrace
For the official opening of the terrace season, a music party with DJ Prince Anizoba has been held. And in the weeks to come, every Wednesday evening the bar will also offer 60s-70s music, in line with the "Pop/Beat" exhibition. Until April 20, the "Wednesdays with the Curator!" events are also scheduled, during which Roberto Floreani will guide visitors through the exhibition with a series of special events. During the opening, texts have been recited, including unpublished interpretations of songs by the Sicilian Antigruppo.

A glimpse of the city
The initiatives were presented by Mayor Giacomo Possamai and the councilors for youth policies Leonardo Nicolai, for major events Leone Zilio, and for economic development Cristina Balbi. Also present was the bar manager, Alberto Quaresimin. "The opening of the terrace aligns with our intention to make the historic center vibrant, a symbolic place and a calling card for the city," said Possamai.
