Creativity returns to the fair. After the Milanese event, the renowned Salone delle Idee Creative by Italian Exhibition Group stops in the city. We are talking about Abilmente, the DIY fair that since yesterday until to Sunday is holding its spring edition in the Vicena pavillions. But let's discover some previews of the 2024 trends: first of all, there is plenty of room for fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark colors , as well as three-dimensional embroidery and the search for visual effects with sustainable materials made with brushed and relief yarns, crochet, and multicolor macramé.
Thanks to the latest market innovations and the presence of hundreds of experts, Abilmente remains a unique experience to learn and discover new techniques and to interact with other DIY enthusiasts, but also to touch and purchase everything you need to create. Furthermore, for the first time, Abilmente will host the live version of the online Academy. The appointment is therefore at pavilion 7 of the exhibition center where an entire area will be dedicated to never-before-seen courses with exceptional teachers. The challenge for visitors will be to try out all the techniques and embark on many new creative projects; from paper to ceramics, from modern embroidery to flower design, up to printing techniques and tufting to create soft and fluffy rugs and decorative panels by inserting tufts of yarn into a fabric support, with bright colors and different patterns. But the beating heart of Abilmente also confirms for this edition "La Via delle Idee" (The Way of Ideas); here, many unique and original creations will be able to ignite the inspiration of both adults and children. Craft enthusiasts will be conquered by the talented creatives who animate the iconic area of the Salon, giving free rein to their imagination. Many techniques and products will leave the public speechless: sustainable accessories in wool and fleece fiber, jewelry in ceramics and Vicenza stone, glass lampworking, decorated paper, home accessories made of recycled newspaper, flowers embedded in resin, linoleum engraving, plastic canvas, rhinestone accessories, fringes, feathers, and much more. "La Via delle Idee" will be the ideal place to discover the creative trends of this spring and stay updated. Lastly, the Vicenza association "Come un Incantesimo" (Like a Charm) could not be missing, which for this edition will be present with "Il Sogno di Pace degli Alpini" (Alpine Troops’ Dream of Peace); on the occasion of the National Gathering of the Alpine Troops, in fact, the association chaired by Carla Spessato has thought of a fundraiser to give life to a concrete project of education for a culture of peace, non-violence, and equality in young generations, in collaboration with the Municipality of Vicenza and the Bizzart Cooperative. The aim is to involve as many people as possible in the realization of some crochet works and simple pom-poms, which will then be placed inside the cloister of San Lorenzo. Abilmente will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Free shuttle bus service from the train station to the fair, and vice versa, with several stops along the route.
