The Dainese store in Vicenza celebrates its 25th anniversary. Tomorrow, April 20, marks the milestone for the business located at Via dell'Economia 64. For the occasion, the doors will be open to the public with an exclusive event featuring Olympic champion Sofia Goggia, skiing legend Kristian Ghedina, two-time motorcycle world champion Manuel Poggiali, as well as other guests including Vicenza-based YouTuber Denis Tarantello "@Sinnaggagghiri" and motorcycle traveler Francesca D'Alonzo. The celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dainese store, commemorating a quarter-century dedicated to passion, innovation, and safety in two-wheeled and dynamic sports.
The free event will feature various activities aimed at making it a memorable day. With an entertainment area and a large stage where sports journalist Enrico "Nico" Cereghini will introduce the sports personalities and Dainese ambassadors, the event will include music from Radio Company and a food truck area with exhibitors and a space dedicated to Moto Clubs. There will also be several activities related to the two-wheels world: a demonstrative course "Dainese Riding Master Road," a free guided tour of the Dainese archive, an educational workshop for children up to 10 years old, a MotoGP simulator area for an adrenaline experience, and a motorcycle test area. But that's not all because from around 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., journalist and pilot Cereghini will host the stars of the day on stage, called by the leading company in technical equipment and protections for sports such as motorcycling, mountain biking, winter sports, and horse riding. Founded in 1972 by Lino Dainese, an entrepreneur who saved millions of lives on and off the slopes with his innovations, Dainese closed 2022 with a turnover of 260 million, marking a +24 percent increase.
Supported by majority shareholder Carlyle, the Dainese Group's portfolio includes the brands Dainese, Agv, Tcx, and Momo Design. Therefore, to celebrate the 25 years of the store in the industrial area of West Vicenza, many well-known names will be in town. It starts with that of the alpine skier born in 1992, Sofia Goggia. Olympic champion in downhill skiing at Pyeongchang 2018, winner of four World Cups and two world medals, the Bergamo native is recovering from a serious injury. Next, we have a sportsman who made history in Italian alpine skiing: Kristian Ghedina, who also has a past as a racing driver. His name is instead linked to the world of motorcycling: we are talking about the 40-year-old Manuel Poggiali, two-time world champion. Finally, guests at Dainese's home also include Vicenza-based YouTuber Denis Tarantello "@Sinnaggagghiri", passionate about motorcycles, cars, mountain biking, and sports in general, and the 34-year-old traveler Francesca D'Alonzo, who has chosen motorcycles as her means of travel and especially for riding.
