Float parades, masks, colors, and celebration. Carnival comes to life in various centers, Vicenza and in Malo in particular.

Vicenza
Illuminated floats will be the protagonists of an exciting parade scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, at 5 p.m. on Viale Roma. With music, confetti, majorettes, and costumed characters, they will animate the entrance to the historic center from the railway station. It will be a great celebration for everyone, especially for children and families. At 5 p.m., the procession will start from Viale Dalmazia, in Campo Marzo, where the floats will arrive earlier in the morning for setup. The entire parade will be accompanied by the music of the Vivaldi band from Venice and the majorettes from Caltrano. One by one, the floats will stop in front of the stage set up on Viale Roma, where each float, accompanied by the procession of characters, will perform a brief show. The party will continue with DJs from Radio Bruno entertaining the crowd. Some food trucks will be present on Viale Roma for refreshments with food and drinks.
During the event, the MDSS acrobatic team from Jesolo will perform freestyle exhibitions on quad bikes. Before the start of the parade, at 4 p.m., the majorettes from Caltrano, accompanied by the band, will march along Corso Palladio to Piazza dei Signori and then return to Viale Roma.
The largest float, 15 meters high, is dedicated to "The courage to dream," the 10-meter high one is titled "Go where the music takes you," the 7-meter one, "Venice magic destination." "The tropical era" and "Take me where dreaming is not necessary" are 8 meters high. In case of bad weather, the parade will be postponed to Saturday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m.

Malo
Hundred years of tradition, hundred years of culture. The Malo Carnival celebrates a century of history with a special edition, rich in events and side initiatives. It was in 1924 when the first allegorical floats paraded through the streets of the town, although a document from 1867 mentioning the first Malo town council refers to a carnival department assigned to Giacomo Manini. The floats will return to the heart of the town on Sunday (February 4), starting at 2:30 p.m., with the first parade. The impressive moving works created by the local float companies will compete for the 'pessa,' the coveted trophy of the Malo Carnival. Also on Sunday, the Casabianca museum will host the exhibition 'Il Carnevale e il suo fascino' ('The Carnival and its Charm'), and at 5:30 p.m. an exhibition by the local dance school is scheduled at the same location. At 2 p.m., in the council hall, the exhibition of over 400 themed works by middle school students will be inaugurated. On the eve, Saturday at 9 p.m., at the Aurora cinema, cabaret takes the stage with the show 'Ride bene chi ride con noi' by the Bigols; the group will be accompanied by the band Blizzards.
