Between earth, water, and sky. From visits to farms to bike rides in the countryside, from adventures in kayaking to the vastness of the universe. In one word, Earth.
For Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, the last ecological Sunday of the municipal program is dedicated to Earth. The appointment is the day after tomorrow, from morning to evening, with activities, events, and initiatives spread across all neighborhoods. As usual, there will also be a mini traffic block within the historic walls, from 10 am to 6 pm.
The novelty of this edition is guided tours of local farms, also possible with a "guided" bike ride organized by Fiab, starting at 9:30 a.m. from Piazza Matteotti (Da Schio farm, 100Orti farm, Orna farm, Desy farm, Pietribiasi farm). There is also a focus on rivers with "Water and Life Paths. Two days of discussion and passion for Vicenza's rivers. Tomorrow at 9:45 a.m., the traveling conference starts from Giardino Salvi. On Sunday, "Vicenza in Voga," a non-competitive canoe/kayak descent along the Retrone and Bacchiglione rivers, starting from Parco Retrone and ending at the Navigable Basin of Colzè in Montegalda. "Clean up Plastic Free" also returns to the Quadrilatero area, with cleaning starting at 9:15 a.m. from Piazzale Bologna. And then the scattered events: free entry to the Museum of Sacred Art of Monte Berico, opening of workshops at the Casale Marsh Oasis, guided tours at Villa Guiotto Bruttomesso. In Piazza Matteotti, there will be a Market Exhibition of the Earth with Campagna Amica and Slow Food, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Viacqua's Water Truck, and Aim Ambiente - Agsm Aim Group's gazebo. At Palazzo Chiericati, there will be "Food Blogging: Telling a Territory through Food," with Monica Bellin, Lidia Materazzi, and Anna Maria Pellegrino. In the afternoon, "The Little Sculptor's Workshop," educational workshops for children organized by Scatola Cultura.
