"The military allegedly violate our privacy,". That’s why a woman "besieged" Camp Ederle on Viale della Pace for almost 24 hours, setting off the anti-terrorism alarm. After a few hours of the woman stationed outside the barracks' entrance, the anti-terrorism prevention system was alerted at around noon on Thursday. The woman, described as agitated and holding suspicious material, prompted a swift response from police patrol cars and an extraordinary control device activated for such situations. The woman was identified on the street and turned out to be a 47-year-old Italian citizen. Her disappearance from home in the Marche region had been reported a few days earlier. What worried the law enforcement officers most was the woman's state of agitation and confusion, as she uttered disconnected phrases, accusing law enforcement in general, but particularly the American military, of being responsible for obscure anti-system plots.

The woman repeatedly demanded to speak with those responsible for the Ederle's computer system. The reason? According to her, they were responsible for violating her privacy and that of many other citizens. After a few hours of dialogue with the police officers, the woman confessed to being a follower of "QAnon," a right-wing conspiracy group prevalent in the US (they were among those responsible for the assault on the Capitol Hill in Washington DC, with QAnon shaman Jake Angeli, a figure etched in everyone's memory for his unique attire). It was discovered that the woman had various paper materials containing informational content from the group in her possession. The police informed her family, urging them to join her in Vicenza. They confessed to knowing that she had joined the sect and had a history of fleeing from home, always espousing delusional ideas with aggressive behavior, for which she had also undergone various medical treatments. Finally, the woman was handed over to the doctor, who opted for a medical examination.
