It will be a rock-themed musical afternoon hosted on Wednesday, May 1, at the Parco della Solidarietà for "Katamarano 2024". Starting from 3:00 p.m. four bands will take turns on the stage set up in the green heart of Marano Vicentino: Tommasopercaso, SupErba, Le Squo, and Codeina Shemale.
SupErba, a rock band formed in 2001 in Vicenza, will offer a music blend of rock, pop, and electronic. They boast hundreds of performances across Italy, Europe, and a tour in the UK in 2019. After a long break, they return in 2024 with new energetic and eclectic performances, collaborating with DJs, performers, and visual artists. Today, SupErba consists of Keti Pertegato (vocals), Riccardo Bittante (guitar), Stefano Urbani (drums), and Enrico Vangelista (bass).
The second artist to take the stage will be Tommasopercaso with his band: a folk singer-songwriter who writes stories and worlds that somehow relate to our daily lives. Starting this year, he tells these stories together with Marco Zanon (drums/cajon), Zeno Muraro (bass), Anita Ruaro (violin), and Tommaso Manea (acoustic and electric guitar). Next up will be the band Codeina Shemale, a garage surf trio based in Vicenza active since 2019. They immediately engaged in intense live activities alternating concerts with studio recording sessions. After their first two LPs "Super Radiophonic" and "The Limone Latino", they released the EP "Tigre" last February for the newborn Witty Banana Recordings. Closing the event will be Le Squo, the musical project formed by Francesco Seganfreddo (vocals, acoustic guitar, and keyboards), Guido Formichi (electric guitar), Matteo Premoli (electric bass), and Alessandro Barbieri (drums). Hailing from Vicenza, the four musicians bring an eclectic sound: ranging from American psychedelic rock to Brazilian pop and Italian songwriting.
During the event, organized by the association, there will be a kiosk serving drinks, beer, and sandwiches. Free admission.
